ABOUT VCBEATS MULTIMEDIA
VCBEATS Multimedia began while Its Founder Ivory Harris was studying Electronic Media & Film Studies at Eastern Michigan University. After filming a comedy and talent show for a student organization, word spread, and Harris became a go-to source on campus for audio and video services. That momentum led to a larger opportunity filming the Motor City Step Show, where he interviewed multi-platinum recording artist Yung Joc.The experience helped Harris find his lane in hip-hop journalism, eventually leading to work with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records—first as a promotions intern and later as an official videographer and video editor for Thisis50.com.
After reconnecting with a longtime friend who became his mentor, Harris began transitioning VCBEATS from individual entertainment clients into corporate production.Through Space Monkey Productions, he worked on a commercial project connected with General Motors. Industry relationships later led to camera-crew experience with TNA Wrestling and production work on Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.Harris credits those doors opening not simply to hard work, but to the favor of God.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
VCBEATS Multimedia began while Harris was studying Electronic Media & Film Studies at Eastern Michigan University. After initially using his camera to document campus life, student organizations and event curators began requesting his services to film and edit their events. Those opportunities led Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. to hire Harris to cover the Motor City Step Show at Chene Park Amphitheatre in Detroit. While covering the event, he interviewed Bad Boy recording artist Yung Joc. The interview was later featured on AllHipHop.com and generated more than 12,000 views.Harris continued expanding into entertainment coverage, producing interviews and video content featuring major artists such as Kanye West, J. Cole, Nas, Devin the Dude, Raekwon, and members of the Wu-Tang Clan, while developing a YouTube channel that amassed more than 500,000 views.

WORKING WITH 50 Cent & G-Unit
In 2010, Harris began working with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Records as an intern in the promotions department. His first assignment was helping promote Lloyd Banks’ Hunger for More 2 album during a taping of BET’s 106 & Park. While working with G-Unit, Harris began filming behind-the-scenes content and documenting his experiences. His video work caught the attention of the company’s staff and eventually led to opportunities producing content as a videographer and video editor for Thisis50.com, G-Unit’s digital media platform.Through that role, Harris helped produce entertainment content and interviews with artists including **50 Cent! That experience became an important part of VCBEATS Multimedia’s early development, combining Harris’ background in video production with hip-hop journalism, artist interviews and digital media.
FROM CONSUMER TO CORPORATE CLIENTS
After graduating from college, Harris took a hospitality position at Detroit Pistons games, serving courtside guests. His goal was to build relationships and eventually find his way into the arena’s video department. Harris successfully navigated that transition and began gaining professional production experience working around Pistons and Red Wings games. While working in the video department, Harris reconnected with a friend he had known since middle school who later became his mentor. At the time, VCBEATS Multimedia primarily served individual clients, but through that mentorship, Harris learned how to position the company for corporate production work. That shift expanded his experience beyond independent event coverage and led to opportunities connected with companies such as General Motors. From there, new opportunities began arriving through referrals and relationships built throughout the production industry. Harris's name was referred for an opportunity with TNA Wrestling, where he joined a camera crew and gained experience working within a professional wrestling television production.
Those experiences continued to open unexpected doors. Harris was eventually booked to work on the Netflix production Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, bringing his production experience into a major motion-picture environment.

FAVOR
Harris credits much of that progression not simply to ambition or hard work, but to the favor of God—opportunities, relationships and referrals arriving at pivotal moments that he believes could not have been orchestrated by effort alone.
BUILDING AN AUDIENCE THROUGH DIGITAL MEDIA
YouTube became an important part of VCBEATS Multimedia's growth. Rather than building the channel around one type of content, Harris used it to document the different worlds of VCBEATS—from music and entertainment to professional wrestling, interviews, live events and behind-the-scenes production.Harris independently filmed, interviewed, edited and packaged much of the content, helping the VCBEATS YouTube channel grow to more than 3,200 subscribers and 538,000 views across 225+ videos. The experience helped shape VCBEATS Multimedia's approach today: capturing compelling moments and turning them into digital content designed to connect with an audience.
538K+ VIEWS · 3.2K+ SUBSCRIBERS · 225+ VIDEOS
Alongside his production work, Harris used YouTube to build an audience for VCBEATS Multimedia. By independently filming, interviewing, editing and packaging content, he grew the channel to more than 538,000 views across 225+ videos. That experience continues to shape how VCBEATS creates engaging content that connects with an audience.
